:: Laser

Laser tattoo removal is the process of applying light, energy/heat to pigment. This makes the pigment molecules expand and break down and disrupts the natural settling process. This allows the body to reject the larger molecules and absorb the smaller molecules.

Smaller bits of pigments that are absorbed pass through the body’s natural filtering system.

Being lasered can be painful, however everyone is different. There are numbing creams that are available for our clients if they are necessary. Further down the line in the treatment some blistering can occur, this is the body’s natural way of cooling the area down so that faster healing can occur. If this should happen the main thing to remember is not to tamper with the blisters in any way.

Keeping the area cool and clean is the best way to take care of the area, and is necessary ice can be applied to cool the area down.

When it comes to length between treatments we usually suggest at least 4-5 weeks, depending on the size of the area that is being lasered, being treated before this is just a waste of time and money for our clients. It doesn’t allow the body to completely filter out the disrupted molecules.

The number of treatments needed for each tattoo completely depends on the individual many factor play a part in the removal process, and before we start the removal process it is very difficult to give an accurate estimate. For complete removal of tattoo most can expect between 5-20 treatments. However to lighten a tattoo for a cover up it is important have a chat with us about your intentions so that we can work with the area that need to be treated the most. The more you lighten your old tattoo, the better opportunity you will have for receiving your wonderful new tattoo!

Cost per laser session starts @ £50 and goes upwards from there, however later on in the treatment prices can be reduced.

Price is based on the size and the detail in the tattoo.
